When the guys at Dahlback Racing create a motor mod, they do not mess around. At first, $5000 for a turbo kit catches most people off guard. But this kit isn't designed for most people. It's designed for someone who wants an easy and efficient way to double the power and torque of their Raptor 700. Initially this turbo kit was created for use on the street. In Sweden, ATVs are street legal, so this turbo kit is just a natural extension of their proven street racing expertise.
But running a motor on the street is one thing, off-road performance is very different. We tested the turbo kit extensively to see how it performed in the desert and the dunes - in some of the most demanding environments anywhere. And we were impressed. The test raptor with the complete turbo kit withstood the heat and intense conditions of Ocotillo in the beginning of Summer, far better than we did! And we were trying to push it to the limit. It continued to run strong.
The work and attention to detail on this complex inter-cooled turbo kit is the first thing the most people notice. It looks like it came straight from the factory. It runs like it too. Every piece has been well-thought-out and everything needed to install and get it running is included. But don't think it's a simple weekend project. This is a fairly complex install, but can be accomplished by someone with an extensive understanding on the inside of their motor.
