Honda TRX450R UNI Air Filter (Competitive Edge)

The principal of how air filters work is simple, open-cell polyurethane foam is wetted with specially developed filter oil. The sticky filter oil is suspended in the path of the dirty air on the strands of the web-like cell structure of the foam. This makes it impossible for dirt to pass through the depth of the filter without sticking to the strands. As the outer strands become loaded with dirt particles, the wetted strands down stream start trapping dirt, allowing the entire thickness to be utilized. This prevents surface loading or air restriction for 80% of the surface life of the air filter element. When the filter is sufficiently dirty it can be easily washed, re-oiled, and re-used.

ALUMINUM AIR BOX This is a replacement air box designed to increase airflow giving you more power. Because of the increase in power re-jetting is required. This Air Box is made from quality 5052 aluminum. This box is designed to use the Honda TRX250R style filter. Your stock filter will not work with this application. We recommend you use a K&N Air Filter for the Honda TRX450R. **Only for 2004 & 2005 models.

RE exhausts feature brushed stainless steel head and mid pipes so they won't corrode or rust. No shortcuts here - we did it right. The canister is brushed aluminum with a machined turn-down end to help quiet things down a few decibels. When combined with an aftermarket filter, proper jetting and cam, our TRX450 gained 9.0 HP at the rear wheel! We tried many pipes and found you can only achieve 42.5 HP peak with the stock cam - the HRC or Rossier cam will give you the rest of the power.

The RE Pipe for the new 2006-07 TRX450 is constructed completely of 304 stainless steel with an aluminim silencer. The billet aluminum turn-down tip helps keep noise down and our new Quiet Kit brings noise down to 98 decibels with no decrease in horsepower. When used with a quality air filter and jet kit, you can expect 6.5 more peak horsepower at the rear wheel, and 10 HP with a drop-in Hotcam Stage 2.
