Honda TRX 250R Keihin Power Pump (Advantage)

For Keihin FCR carbs ONLY WHAT IS IT? R&D Racing has followed up their successful Power Bowl with an all-new accelerator pump cover that features an adjustable leak jet. WHATS IT DO? Four-stroke engines bog, cough and pop.These problems are caused by everything from air leaks to mis-timed accelerator pumps to air in the pump reservoir to bad jetting to inadequate fuel flow through the leak jet. Of all the bugaboos, the leak jet is the most mysterious. It is also the most troublesome to work on.What is a leak jet? In the simplest terms, a leak jet controls the amount of fuel flowing through the accelerator pump nozzle. The accelerator pumps fuel circuit is split into two paths. The first path is the nozzle to the cylinder head and the second is the return path to the pump reservoir. The leak jet meters the return path. The larger the leak jet, the more fuel is returned to the reservoir with each squirt, which means that less fuel goes to the engine. The smaller the leak jet, the less fuel is returned to the reservoir, while more fuel goes to the engine. In essence, changing the leak jet size changes the amount of fuel that the accelerator pump squirts into the cylinder head. A bigger leak jet will make an engine lean, while a smaller leak jet will make it rich. The R&D Power Pump is an adjustable leak jet. It allows a racer to change the size of the leak jet orifice with a screwdriver (and you can do it with the engine running). WHAT STANDS OUT? (1) STOCK LEAK JET To change a stock Keihin leak jet you have to remove the float bowl from the carb and unscrew the leak jet. Leak jets typically come in sizes from 10 to 100 (a 70 leak jet has an orifice size of 0.70mm). It is a guessing game to select the correct size.This is a time-consuming process (given that most float bowls dont come off modern four-strokes without removing the carb from the bike). (2) POWER PUMP LEAK JET With the Power Pump, the leak jet size is controlled by an adjustable needle and seat. Although the float bowl has to be removed one time to install the supplied plug where the stock leak jet goes, there is never any need to remove the float bowl again. (3) TUNING We tested the Power Pump on our 2008 CRF250, which had some box stock jetting issues. We installed the Power Pump and set the adjustable leak jet at 1-1/2 turns out. We made incremental adjustments and checked them with a throttle blip test. Two turns out would be to the lean side, while one turn out would be rich. We rode the bike at 2 turns, 1-1/2 turns, 1- 1/4turns and 1-1/8th turns. (4) LEAK JET FACTS Our 2008 Honda came stock with a 70 leak jet. We felt improvement as we richened the adjustable leak jet. What does that mean? The large stock leak jet created a lean situation. Our CRF250 ran best with a smaller leak jet orifice somewhere between a 60 and 65 (about 1-1/2 turns). With the Power Pump we were able to fine-tune the setting in seconds. This is a blessing when the temperature drops. (5) PERFORMANCE. Loved it. The bogging disappeared and the power improved considerably. We went from lean to properly jetted in ten seconds. WHATS THE SQUAWK? Delta-Box aluminum frames make getting to the leak jet adjuster a juggling act. We had to use a very long screwdriver, from the right side of the bike, just in front of the shock.

Honda TRX 250R Keihin Power Bowl (Advantage)

WHAT IS IT? A complete float bowl, accelerator pump and fuel supply system for the Keihin FCR carburetor. WHATS IT DO? During the two-stroke era (1967-2004), the nagging carb problems were lean or rich mixtures. Not anymore! Now, on four-stroke engines, bogging, coughing and popping are the bugaboos.The solutions to these problems, most commonly found on the CRF250 and CRF150, range from aftermarket accelerator pump covers to radical jetting changes to accelerator pump linkage mods. R&D Racing, famous for their long association with the Suzuki amateur program, has a totally new solutionwhich doesnt address just one issue in the bogging equation, but every aspect. Its their totally innovative, R&D Power Bowl. WHAT STANDS OUT? (1) FUEL SUPPLY In jumps and whoops, the fuel in the main jet fuel chamber (a little plastic cavity designed to keep a ready supply of fuel available for the main jet) can cavitate.Why? The stock Keihins plastic chamber has excessive clearance under it. The gap allows the fuel in the main jet chamber to get mixed with air bubbles which results in a lean condition. The Power Bowl has a zero tolerance mainjet fuel chamber. It is totally sealed to keep the fuel from sloshing away from the main jet. (2) ACCELERATOR PUMP The R&D Power Bowl is designed with two separate fuel ports. The first orifice is isolated at the highest point of the accelerator pump to vent trapped air out through the leak jet. The second orifice is located low in the fuel sump to insure a supply of air-free fuel to the accelerator pump circuit. (3) LEAK JET The Power Bowl comes with an easy-to-use, externally adjustable leak jet. Additionally, the ball check valve that controls fuel flow has been repositioned to the bottom of the pump to stop it from bouncing open and closed during hard landings (and a nylon check ball is used instead of a steel one to lessen the weight against the ball check spring). (4) PERFORMANCE The MXA wrecking crew tested the R&D Power Bowl over a fourweek test cycle on a CRF150, RM-Z250 and CRF250. We were impressed. On the CRF150, which has a tendency to shoot ducks at full throttle, the popping disappeared and the power improved considerably (so much so that we went up on both the main and the pilot jets).On the RM-Z250, the transition from low-to-mid was enhanced,while the overrev was lengthened. On the CRF250, it eliminated the irritating bog, allowed us to go richer on the jetting and improved overall power. Across the board, throttle response was improved and midrange power increased.

Our CRJ ATV / motorcycle engine temperature gauge will fit almost any liquid cooled atv or motorcycle with standard 7/8" dia handlebars and standard 3/4" dia radiator hose. This is an easy and inexpensive way to monitor your engines coolant temperature for just every day riding or competetive racing. Easy installation, can be installed in 30 minutes with basic tools. ~Temperature range is from - 58F to 302F. ~Display can be switched from Farenhight to Celsius for foreign customers. ~Easy to read at a glance 3/4" tall by 1 1/2" wide display. ~Runs on a small watch style battery which can easily be replaced. Battery typically lasts for 1 year. ~Comes with everything needed to install. Temperature gauge clamps to handlebars and probe coupling mounts into your radiators return hose. Ever wonder why MX bikes have little flywheels? The answer is that a smaller flywheel allows the engine to accelerate much quicker.This is why many engine builders offer the lightening of flywheels for better performance. When a 250R flywheel is lightened the average loss of weight is about 100 grams and in most cases the flywheel is not rebalanced after the lightening process which can cause problems. Now being offered by Ricky Stator is a brand new balanced flywheel that is approximately 200 grams lighter than a stock flywheel!! This flywheel really makes the difference when you want to roost on your buddy without spending a small fortune.

Honda TRX 250R A Arms (Ricky Stator)

Ricky Stator felt it was time to do for suspension components what we've been doing with lighting for years. That is - to offer directly to the customer a reasonable priced product with outstanding performance. The bolt on A-Arms offered by us deserve a close look to see why they are such a good buy. Keeping with the performance end they are fabricated from 4130 alloy. The ball joint bosses are threaded on both top and bottom arms for strength and no possibilities of loosing the ball joint due to a loose nut. The ball joints are the new Ricky Stator full ball joints. The Delrin pivot bushings are pressed into the Arms and then precision reamed for the bearing boss. Included in the kits are new tie-rods which are fabricated from solid 17-4 stainless steel which are heat treated to H900. The flat for adjusting the tie-rod is created with a die press, which is stronger than a machined flat as like the OEM Hondas are. The Arms are finished with two layers of powdercoating-one colored and one clear for durability. Besides the increase of 7" width the new arms increase the front wheel travel from the stock 7.5" to 10" using the stock shock. With an after market shock you can obtain 13" of travel. We hope that if you are considering A-Arms you will look at ours. We are convinced they are the best available regardless of price. Remember- anyone can build Arms that go up and down. We chose to build them geometrically correct.

The principal of how air filters work is simple, open-cell polyurethane foam is wetted with specially developed filter oil. The sticky filter oil is suspended in the path of the dirty air on the strands of the web-like cell structure of the foam. This makes it impossible for dirt to pass through the depth of the filter without sticking to the strands. As the outer strands become loaded with dirt particles, the wetted strands down stream start trapping dirt, allowing the entire thickness to be utilized. Honda TRX 250R Durablue Anti Roll Bar (Durablue)

Fits all A-Arm ATV's Can be "tuned" from very stiff to very forgiving. Makes your ride less "tippy" for flat cornering. Working like an anti-sway bar on a race car, our Anti-Roll Bar* is full adjustable from soft to stiff... you can even adjust one side stiff and the other soft to match specific race conditions! Full brushed and chrome plated, it fits all A-Arm ATV's. If you're looking for "flatter cornering" a Dura Blue Anti-Roll Bar is the answer. The Durablue Anti-Roll Bar is a unique part designed to be custom tailored for your machine. This customizing is accomplished by utilizing mounting brackets, which can be located on the mounting tube in any location, then clamped. The clamps can be installed with the tube forward or back (relative to the mounting surface). The clamps can also be bent at the mounting face, moving the sway bar tube slightly to provide frame and component clearance as necessary. The link arm (the part that goes from the torsion bar to the down link) can be installed with either an inner offset or outer offset (you can accomplish this by flipping the arm over and reinstalling it on the spline of the torsion bar). The upper heim joint can be bolted to the inside or outside of the link arm. The lower heim joint can be mounted to the forward side or rearward side of the shock-mounting bracket. Each machine will be slightly different. You will want to make sure that you run the suspension through it's full travel to make sure there is no binding or rubbing of any parts. This assembly is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit nearly every application. *ANTI-ROLL BAR is just the name of our product. You can still roll your ATV!!! This bar provides flatter cornering and limits "swaying" only. It DOES NOT PROVIDE ROLL OVER PROTECTION OF ANY KIND.

Below is one example of how to mount the anti roll bar. You can mount the anti roll bar in a number of different ways. The mounting brackets are designed so that you can bend the end tabs. Since every quad is unique you may want to mount it differently than the picture. Remember to follow the general principles of how the anti roll bar works which is outlined in the instructions.

Honda TRX 250R Axles (Durablue)
Eliminator Axle: For high performance & race applications! Eliminator is the worlds #1 axle. It features a proprietary heat treating process that provides excellent wear and strength characteristics. It is then polished and chrome plated, giving you a product that is superior in strength as well as good looks. Many of the models come with the patented PosiâLock system which removes threaded sections from the flexing area of the shaft (a source of crack generation). Use this axle for all forms of racing and high performance applications. 1. Remove the old axle, noting the position of the disc and sprocket flanges. 2. Remove the Posi*Lock nut assembly from the Durablue axle by removing the c-clip ring and sliding off the nut assembly. The nut assembly will be reinstalled the same way, so pay attention to the Posi*Lock orientation on the axle. 3. If you are installing the axle in a pre 2003 Blaster, remove the c-clip and keeper ring from the brake side of the axle (the larger of the two inner-most splines). Take the large ring from the plastic sack and slide it onto the axle so that it is between the carrier bearing and the larger diameter spline. When installed correctly, this ring covers a section of spline. Skip to #5. 4. Slide the brake hub (Banshee) or sprocket hub (Raptor) onto the axle. 5. Slide the axle through the bearing carrier. 6. Slide the sprocket hub (Banshee/Blaster) or brake hub (Raptor) onto the axle. 7. Install the nut assembly as shown. Tighten the axle in the bearing carrier 20-40 lbs-ft (not especially important, just tight). Tighten the allen screw to 17 lbs-ft, clamping the nut. 8. Pre 2003 Blaster owners will need to slide the brake rotor flange onto the axle the flange "floats" on the spline). Ride the vehicle and check for axle tightness. 9. (You may have to retighten the axle. After retightening, use a thread lock compound on the s screw when clamping for the final time.

These nuts have fewer parts than the OEM nut assemblies and are less sensitive to vibration and harmonics (the physical motions responsible for loosening). They are an excellent addition to any well maintained machine. *Available for DuraBlue and non DuraBlue axles. *Finer threads for a solid lock you can count on. *Fewer parts than the OEM nut assembly. *See Notes 1 & 2* POSIâLOCK INFORMATION Aluminum Style The Posi*Lock nut assembly uses a simple, yet effective locking technique. A slot allows the nut to compress and bind the threads. The aluminum material tends to "grab" the steel inner sleeve when under pressure. Tightened correctly, this nut is especially free from vibration induced loosening. Tighten the nut to 15-40 lbs-ft if your carrier is using a ball bearing housing (stock or aftermarket double row ball bearing). If you are using a Timken tapered roller bearing housing, you will need to set the endplay to about .015"-.017" (the axle will move in and out of the carrier this amount). Consult your carrier manufacturer's recommendation on endplay. To lock the Posi*Lock, apply a thread lock compound to the allen screw, and then tighten to 17 lbs-ft, thereby compressing the threads. This is seldom necessary. However, variations from machine to machine do sometimes necessitate some additional fitment procedures. The lowering kits pictured at the top are Plate-type devices that relocate the upper shock position higher, thereby lowering the machine which dramatically improves cornering by lowering the center of gravity without changing the ride quality! The rear strut-type is adjustable much the same way as a tie rod. You can expect about 1" to 1.5" of lowering. Honda TRX 250R Outlaw Long Travel A Arms (Janssen Motorsports)
New to the ever growing line of Premium Janssen Motorsports chassis components are the all new Outlaw long travel a-arms. The advantage of long travel a-arms is not to necessarily increase front wheel travel but to allow for the use of a longer shock. A longer shock can provide more shock travel. Increased shock travel allows for more precise damping control and more variation in spring rates through out the travel. This added control can result in a much improved and better handling front suspension versus standard travel front suspensions. Similar to our standard MX Tech a-arms, our Outlaw arms offer full caster and camber adjustability, which can be setup for any type of competition. Outlaw A-Arms feature fully tig welded 4130 chromoly steel construction. Industrial sized heim joints are used in place of conventional ball joints. This unique design offers a much higher load carrying capacity than standard ball joints. Our design eliminates binding problems which can be common in some of the competitions designs. Honda TRX 250R Anti Vibe Steering Stems (Janssen Motorsports)
Janssen Motorsports stems are constructed out of high strength 4150 chromoly steel. All stems are gusseted and fully TIG welded in all vital stress areas. All stems will include a 6061-T6 billet aluminum vibration/dampening handlebar clamp. These clamps can be ordered to handle either standard 7/8 inch bars or 1 1/8 inch fat bars. All stems come in triple plated show chrome to maintain an outstanding appearance and insure smooth operation. Janssen Motorsports stems have a standard +1 inch rise over stock, but can be ordered in any length and either a +0 or +1 forward offset.
