A slot allows the nut to compress and bind the threads. The aluminum material tends to "grab" the steel inner sleeve when under pressure. Tightened correctly, this nut is especially free from vibration induced loosening. Tighten the nut to 15-40 lbs-ft if your carrier is using a ball bearing housing (stock or aftermarket double row ball bearing). If you are using a Timken tapered roller bearing housing, you will need to set the endplay to about .015"-.017" (the axle will move in and out of the carrier this amount). The Durablue Anti-Roll Bar is a unique part designed to be custom tailored for your machine. This customizing is accomplished by utilizing mounting brackets, which can be located on the mounting tube in any location, then clamped. The clamps can be installed with the tube forward or back (relative to the mounting surface). The clamps can also be bent at the mounting face, moving the sway bar tube slightly to provide frame and component clearance as necessary. The link arm (the part that goes from the torsion bar to the down link) can be installed with either an inner offset or outer offset (you can accomplish this by flipping the arm over and reinstalling it on the spline of the torsion bar). The upper heim joint can be bolted to the inside or outside of the link arm. The lower heim joint can be mounted to the forward side or rearward side of the shock-mounting bracket. Each machine will be slightly different. You will want to make sure that you run the suspension through it's full travel to make sure there is no binding or rubbing of any parts. This assembly is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit nearly every application. *ANTI-ROLL BAR is just the name of our product. You can still roll your ATV!!! But it's no secret that a ball joint a-arm does a better job of keeping the elements out. This is why we at Janssen Motorsports have developed our Elite upgrade for both our MX-Tech and Outlaw series a-arms. We have upgraded the rod ends in this kit to a Kevlar / Teflon injected style race rod end for both the upper and lower arms. These rod ends are both self-lubricating and self sealing. The upper rod ends are constructed of aircraft grade aluminum and then anodized red. This design is 10% lighter than traditional 3 piece design. The lower rod ends are constructed from chromoly steel and plated for long service life. We have also changed our frame side rod ends from mild steel to a chromoly steel design to again extend service life. CRJ Performances ATV wheel spacers come in two sizes. 3" ( 1 1/2" per side) 5" ( 2 1/2" per side) One set of spacers comes with 8 spacers, enough for two wheels on most quads. These wheel spacers are the toughest you will find when it comes to strength, durability, and ease of use. With our spacers you DO NOT have to remove your stock studs. The spacers female thread screws down on your origional studs and the flat bottom seats tight against the wheel hub which prevents the stock studs and spacers from being able to flex side to side. We have been busy working with JE Performance Pistons to develop our very own high performance racing piston. The new Outlaw pistons feature oversized valve pockets to accommodate the latest in big valve head performance. It is no longer necessary to spend extra cash to have a 'fast shop' custom grind a piston to accept the tremendous performance gains that big valve heads can provide. Now you can rest assured that you have a precise repeatable piston top profile with exact piston to valve clearances. The Outlaw piston also benefits from improved oiling performance to the wrist pin over stock. Poor wrist pin oiling has resulted in engine failure on various models including the popular YFZ 450. Compression Ratios of 12:1 (flat track applications) and 12.5:1 (motocross applications) are currently available. All pistons include oil and compression rings.
